Welcome on blog about nutrition for women with PCOS and endometriosis!

Hey, I’m Prehranika.

And this is blog about nutrition for women with PCOS and endometriosis. I’m also registered dietitian with a master’s in Dietetics (and another one in overthinking, easy recipes, and clean spaces). I’m also an unashamed bookworm with a slight planner addiction (sorry, Google Calendar).

From my teenage years, I remember battling hormonal chaos — acne that made me feel like Shrek, irregular periods, and, yes, a faint mustache (a true PCOS girlie starter pack). In my early twenties, I started dealing with chronic back pain, painful bowel movements, and that deep, stabbing lower stomach pain no one warns you about.

In 2023, after stopping birth control, I was finally diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). But my story didn’t end there — two years later, I was also diagnosed with endometriosis. Shocker, I know. Now, I’m battling two conditions that completely reshaped how I see nutrition, self-care, and womanhood.

And that’s how Prehranika was born — a space dedicated to real nutrition for PCOS and endometriosis, without the diet culture noise or wellness BS. Here, I share anti-inflammatory recipes, hormone-friendly nutrition tips, body positivity, and slow-living inspiration for every chronically ill girlie trying to find balance.

It’s not just a blog about nutrition for PCOS and endometriosis — it’s a safe space. A corner of the internet where women can feel seen, supported, and understood.

A few things about me:

  • I have a Bachelor’s in Food and Nutrition and a Master’s in Dietetics.
  • I don’t label food as “good” or “bad” — food is just food.
  • I truly believe that balanced nutrition can change lives (and moods).
  • Easy and nourishing lunches are basically my love language.
  • I’m from a small Slavic country, and my blog’s name, Prehranika, comes from the word “prehrana”, meaning nutrition in my language — mixed with a touch of me.
  • I’m obsessed with embroidery — my version of therapy and self-care.

So whether you’re here for hormone-friendly recipes, nutrition advice for PCOS and endometriosis, or just some real talk about living with chronic illness, welcome. You’re in the right place.

Disclaimer:

While I share openly about PCOS and endometriosis, I’ve chosen to keep my thoughts on fertility private. I believe every woman should have the right to decide what she shares — and when.
